Strawberries, Music and 400 Guests

July 3, 2009 by Andrew Baerthel

On June 21st the ashram opened it’s doors to the local community, welcoming over 400 guests for delicious strawberries, music and entertainment. 2009 YDC graduate Darishma Parmar offered a performace of the traditional Indian dance Jatiswarum and was followed by music from The Many Bays Band and the ashram elastic band. Log cabin restoration expert Joern Wingender gave tours of the The Divine Mother Room showcasing all of the wonderful work he and his team have done over the last year.  Watch the video to get a taste of the day.

The Strawberry Social officially marks the beginning of the summer schedule at the ashram as we begin to welcome many guests coming for courses and retreats. Click Here to see the schedule of courses and retreats being offered this summer, which includes some new courses such as Dance and the Kundalini Mantras and Hatha Teacher Re-Certification.
