“…the receptivity to allowing a woman with quadriplegia to come here and practice was really, really lovely.” Young Adult Program participant and Karma Yogini Melissa Addison-Webster recently took some time to reflect on her first experience of living in spiritual community, the teachings of Swami Radha, Hidden Language Hatha Yoga and the Light.

  1. What a beautiful message and I love the video. More of that please, because it really tells a wonderful story and how much everyone can grow during a visit to the Ashram. So what is next step on the path?
I would like to learn more of your life and how you think you can continue to grow from this first experience :-)

  3. Greetings Bjarke,
I hope this message finds you well.
Thank you for the kind message.
I am sorry for my delayed response. Since leaving the Ashram I have moved to Orillia to study social work, and have been taking classes all day and doing readings most evenings.
Thankfully I have completed my classes for now.
To answer your question about how I will proceed from my time at the Ashram, the most important action for me is to try to stay in the present moment, and continue to work with right speech. I feel like chanting and speaking my truth is opening my 5th chakra, so I know I must keep working at these things.
Very thankfully I will also be going on retreat with my teacher Thich Nhat Hahn in October which will be of enormous value.
I think I heard Kevin mention that you might be in Toronto, so maybe our paths will cross again. I live 1 hour and a half from Toronto, and am planning a trip there on August 24th.
I wish you safe travels where ever you are.
    Take care,
    Melissa
