Sunday, January 6, 2008 marks the third annual 108 Sun Salutation event to support the Ashram’s Young Adult Program.
It’s just about that time again. On Sunday, January 6, 2008 we will be hosting the 3rd annual 108 Sun Salutations fundraiser for the Ashram’s Young Adult Program. The past two years have been a great success in raising money through pledges and donations from friends, family and anyone who has been kind enough to offer funding towards the cause. But you don’t have to be here to participate. You can organize a group where-ever you live, or just do it on your own or with a friend in your living room.
In the past 2 years we’ve raised close to $10,000, all of which goes toward supporting young adults between the ages of 18 – 30, so they can stay at the Ashram, participate in this community, learn and grow into who they can really be.
This is an exciting event where the participants are also the recipients, connecting the great circle of giving and receiving. A Sun Salutation is a classic series of hatha asanas linked together. Those involved will do 54 to each of the two sides of the body making a total of 108.
